In response to a constant stream of requests, we have now added the capability to notch corners and cut starter logs. If you have a home that requires dovetail or H-Notch corners, we can now make them for you at very reasonable prices. In fact, many builders have told us that it's cheaper for us to notch thir corners than it is for them to do it on site. The choice is yours! You can continue to notch your own logs at the job site, or we can do it for you.
We do not intend to be in the custom cutting business. We're will simply cut starter logs and notch log ends for the assembly of 90 degree outside corners. Our goal is to save you time at the job site and to make the process of building with the "Logs Only Approach" even simpler. Each corner will be provided with enough play to make setting the log easy. All you have to do is cut the notched log to the length desired; fasten the corner; and caulk or chink as desired.

Each notch will be individually cut using a precision saw and specially designed templates to assure consistency.

Each notch will be cut by hand, using precision equipment specifically designed for the purpose. We've elected to rely on a "hands-on" semi- automatic approach that requires direct involvement of a person. Experience tells us this is the best way to assure a quality result.
If you'd like us to notch your corners we need to know…
- The type of corner you want.
- The stack height and profile of the log you intend to use.
- The number of outside corners on your home.
- The floorplan of your home -- a sketch or drawing is essential.
With this information in hand, we'll be able to estimate the number of corners and the cost of cutting the corners and starter logs for for your home. Before any notching actually takes place, someone from our plant will call you personally to review and verify the estimate with you.
