The Objective: For the extremely energy conscious person, combine the R-value of traditional insulation with the thermal mass of wood.
Hint: Use standard 2x6 construction sandwiched between laminated log cabin siding on the outside and laminated T&G Decking on the inside. You end up with an R19 wall and the thermal mass of a 6x8 log.
