It's not unusual for clients to use exterior siding for interior applications. In this case, extra thick pine siding with splines has been applied to simulate a log cabin interior. Keeping the "Western White Wood" theme, Ponderosa Pine Paneling was used on the ceiling. Kiln-dried to 12% moisture content, the paneling holds up very well to dry Wisconsin Winter air. Looking through the sliding glass doors, and onto the deck, lodgepole railing is also visible.
