Laminated D-Log Home Under Construction

back

Laminated D-Log Log Home Construction, trusses
Girder trusses with ladder framing in between were used to construct the roof of this five lam log home.

Located in the prairies of northeastern Wyoming, this laminated log home was constructed by a stick builder with assistance from an experienced log home builder, who "lived in" at the job site during the the log stacking process. Since we get lots of questions on the construction process we thought we'd include these pictures in our laminated log scrapbook. The home is now complete and we we're waiting for pictures of the final product.

Installation of trusses and posted corners in log home
Corners of the home were sawed off and later covered with trim to give a posted corner look.
