Glu-Lam Introduces New Color Brochure
by Phil Alman

Phil Alman is the co-owner of Glu-Lam-Log. Phil is responsible for the marketing, sales and general office management of the company. He has more than 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, and has a strong passion for superior customer service. Phil lives with his wife, Elaine, on a 10 acre "oasis" on a bench overlooking the western range of Bitterroot Mountains just south of Stevensville, Montana.

Until recently, if you wanted to know about Glu-Lam Log’s total capabilities or what its full product line offering looked like, you had to wade through a pile of disparate publications. You’d have to go to one of several older brochures, past issues of Glu-Lam-Log Notes, or the company web site to piece together the whole package. That’s what can happen when you grow a company and a product line consistently over an extended period of time. Nothing remains static long enough to take a comprehensive snapshot of what’s going on.

Log Home Brochure featuring Laminated Logs and Milled Logs
“The Logs Only Approach To Log Home Building” brochure marks the first time the company has had a full line, full color product catalog available.
The problem was finally remedied this year with the introduction of “The Logs Only Approach To Log Home Building”, the company’s first full line color brochure.

The brochure outlines the benefits of the “Logs Only Approach” as seen through the eyes of the homeowner, the builder, and the manufacturer. It goes on to describe the special characteristics that make Glu-Lam-Log, Inc. such a unique company to do business with. The product sections on Laminated Logs, Traditional Milled Logs, Siding, Interior/Exterior Options, and Sourced Materials clearly summarize the company’s full product line. Beautiful photography throughout accents the brochure and shows what homes built with our logs and complementary products look like.

One of the major benefits of the new publication is that it literally puts the Glu-Lam staff and potential customers on the same page. Scarcely a day passes when a client doesn’t say something like, “I’m looking at page 12 of your brochure. How far apart are those beams?” Likewise, those of us who deal with clients every day find ourselves directing customers to specific pages in the brochure to identify a log profile, an application technique, or what a particular stain color looks like when it’s applied to a home.

If you haven’t already received a copy of the new brochure, it’s yours for the asking. We’d also be delighted to send a copy on your behalf to one of your clients or friends. Quantities of the brochure are available to dealers on a cost share basis. In the spring of 1999 we are also introducing a full color envelope stuffer ready for use as a home show handout or for mailings. This stuffer will also be available on a co-op basis.
