As you read the guides, please keep the following things in mind:
- The Guides are conceptual in its approach and takes into consideration the consensus of the builders we deal with. They are specifically designed to help you visualize how corners are constructed. They are not meant to be construction manuals and recognize that many buiders have their own time-proven variatioins of the approaches shown.
- While many home owners have successfully stacked their own logs, we highly recommend that constuction be done by an experience and qualified log home builder.
- Our logs are very dry and, therefore, lighter weight than most. However, they can still be heavy and bulky. Also, the tools used in log home construction can be dangerous. So, please take your time and always pay attention to safety on the job site.
